We removed this nasty little bugger from a computer yesterday and the people behind these infections are getting even more creative!
Initially we were unable to even get in to safemode as it kept saying Windows hadn't been activated and that can't be done in safemode. Eventually we pulled the drive and ran scans with a different computer using the drive as a slave. The infection still persisted and so did our efforts. It was eventually removed 4 hours later. Remeber folks, $60 for in home service and just $40 if you drop it off. That customer is paying $40 which works out to be $10 an hour. Our flat rate pricing simply can't be beat!
