BIG Problems for AVG!

It seems Grisoft, the maker of AVG, has another false positive issue that will need to be dealt with. Back in Nov 2008 it was announced that an update for their AVG was giving false positives and deleteing the user32.dll file from the Windows and hence rendering computers with Windows XP useless. We had a tech working on a laptop lastnight and after installing the latest version of AVG it was noted to be removing several of the critical Windows system files and hence the system was useless.

Our technician was also re-installing the same version of Windows XP on their own personal work computer and had the same results after installing the same version of AVG. We have posted a message in the AVG forums which can be viewed HERE and we encourage you to post your messages if you too are having this problem.

**More info**
After the AVG deletes the system files we noticed that we were being forced to login as if on a network, all administrative rights to install/move/delete files were removed and we even had a difficult time trying to fix this in safe mode. None of the know fixes would work, not even editing the registry itself!
